Welcome to Theratalk Health. By using our counseling services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before starting services.
services provided
Theratalk Health offers professional counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Services may be provided in person or via secure telehealth platforms.
eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services independently. Minors may receive counseling with parent/guardian consent.
scheduling and cancellations
Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or online portal.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a charge.
payments and insurance
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed. If using insurance:
You are responsible for understanding your benefits.
Co-pays and non-covered services must be paid out-of-pocket.
We accept credit card, cash, and insurance plans.
telehealth services
Telehealth sessions are conducted over secure, encrypted platforms. You must have access to a private location and stable internet during sessions.
By agreeing to telehealth, you acknowledge:
Potential risks (e.g., technical failure, security breach)
Your right to refuse or discontinue telehealth at any time
confidentiality
Information shared in counseling is confidential and will not be released without your written consent, except as required by law or as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
emergency services disclaimer
Theratalk Health is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility.
termination of services
We reserve the right to terminate services if:
You violate these terms
You fail to attend scheduled sessions
The counselor determines that your needs are outside the scope of our services
In such cases, we may provide referrals to other providers.
intellectual property
All content on our website and in client materials (handouts, exercises, etc.) is owned or licensed by Theratalk Health and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
